Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) is a command-line diagnostic tool that is executed by an engine written in the Perl programming language.

Two Methods of Running RDA :

1^st Method

To download the RDA script as MOS ID : 314422.1

unzip rda.zip

Make sure the RDA command (rda.sh and rda.pl) is executable. To verify, enter the following command:

chmod +x <rda>

You can verify the RDA installation using the following command:

./<rda> -cv

Example: RDA for R11i on UNIX

To execute RDA at the command line and retrieve information for "Accounts Payables":

cd $IZU_TOP/bin/rda

./rda.sh -vdCRP -e APPL_SHORT='AP' ACT

If prompted enter the APPS password ( It will not be displayed )

The output of rda is stored in sub-directory "output" per default.

RDA will display the name of the archive file where the retrieved information is stored.( E.g. "RDA.RDA_myserver.zip created " )

Example: RDA for R12 on UNIX

To execute RDA at the command line and retrieve information for "General Ledger":

cd $IZU_TOP/bin                          

./rda.sh -vdCRP -e APPL_SHORT='GL' ACT

When prompted enter the APPS password ( It will not be displayed )

The output of rda is stored in sub-directory "output" per default.

RDA will display the name of the archive file where the retrieved information is stored.( E.g. "RDA.RDA_myserver.zip created " )

Upload the zip file to Oracle Support.

Location of Zip file: $IZU_TOP/bin/output

2^nd  Method

Steps :

Oracle Diagnostics Tool for some products on your R12 Application.

Login to Oracle E-Business Suite as sysadmin or with responsibility as Application Diagnostics

Select the responsibility "Oracle Diagnostics Tool" (see Note 358831.1 for details)

Click on Diagnose.

From Diagnostic Tests click on Select Application

From Select Application , Select GME.

Now click on RDA and click Execute Button

Now Input Responsibility id,Application shortname ,apps username and apps password.

EX:

RespId --AP Super User (Ex:50765)

Note:If resp id is not  find please add the resp through system profile

App shor name--SQLAP

Unmask—Yes  (Or) Leave it blank

APPS user--apps

APPS pw--testapps

And click on Submit Button. Once success you can download & Review the output … +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
